Sunday, April 28th, 2030: Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl
You would have thought you were at a hockey game yesterday at Citgo Field. A free-for-all broke out when Joshua Carreon of Tampa Bay and Steven Jones of Toronto rushed one another on the field and had to be restrained by umpires and teammates. Few blows landed, but it was enough for them to be ejected from the game.

Today both teams received notification from the league office that the two players would be suspended for 5 games.

Looking at his 2030 season stats, Carreon has compiled a .320 batting average in 26 games with a .415 on-base percentage, while hitting 7 home runs and driving in 28 runs.

This season Jones has compiled a 1-4 mark with a 3.43 ERA.
Friday, March 8th, 2030: League Gives Costa and Soto 10-Game Suspensions
Bad blood could be brewing between the Red Sox and the Devil Rays. In yesterday's contest at Fenway Park, Boston's Marcos Costa and Tampa Bay's Alberto Soto caused the benches to empty when they went toe-to-toe against one another. Only Costa and Soto were ejected by the umpires.

Upon hearing that the two players had been suspended 10 games each by the league office, harsh comments came from both clubhouses.

League officials have warned both organizations about the consequences of premeditated retaliation.

Monday, February 18th, 2030: Veteran McCurry, Tampa Bay Complete Deal
Tampa Bay fans embraced the signing of Wallace McCurry today with a few doubts. While most were appreciative that the club had signed a solid ballplayer, they were also concerned about his reputation as a "me first" kind of guy.

McCurry was signed for $67,340,000 over 4 years.

McCurry is batting .265 with 1415 career base hits, including 253 doubles, 65 triples and 226 home runs with 694 RBIs and 988 runs scored. He has played in 1443 games, stolen 431 bases and compiled a .369 OBP.
