| Breaking News | | Tuesday, April 30th, 2030: Acevedo Belts Bunch of Base Hits Marcos Acevedo really did a number on the Rockies in the San Francisco 18-4 victory. Not just anyone can get 5 hits in 5 at-bats. But Marcos Acevedo did just that today for the Giants and gave his batting average a healthy boost and sparked his club in the win.
"I felt real good in the batter's box today. I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done," the 24-year-old second baseman said after his record-setting performance.
M. Acevedo singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off P. Arguello in the 4th, was hit by a pitch in the 5th, singled in the 7th, walked in the 8th and hit a GRAND SLAM off W. Cambell in the 9th.
In 2030 Acevedo has hit at a .245 clip with 24 hits, 3 home runs, 12 RBIs and has scored 16 times. | | Monday, April 22nd, 2030: NL Star of the Week Named There's nothing like being in the prime of your baseball career -- and playing like it. Ellis piled up 11 hits in 21 at-bats, 3 home runs and 7 RBIs while hitting .524.
This year Ellis is hitting .386 with 6 home runs and 11 RBIs to his credit. After the doctor informed the Colorado Rockies manager that Logue was expected to miss 4 weeks, the manager told the press that the rest of the team would have to step up their play until the closer could return. "You can't make excuses in baseball, because there's always a game tomorrow," said the team's skipper.
Season-to-date Logue has no saves in 5 relief appearances with a 0-0 mark and 10.13 ERA. | | | Injuries | | Player | Injury | Out for... | Disabled List Status | | P Dennis Logue | back spasms | one week | Not on DL | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 9-16, .360 PCT | | Position in Division | 5th, 4.5 GB | | Record at home | 4-6, .400 PCT | | Record on the road | 5-10, .333 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 0-2, .000 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 3-5, .375 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 2-1, .667 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 7-15, .318 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 5-5, .500 PCT | | Record in April | 9-16, .360 PCT |
