Tuesday, April 30th, 2030: Odaka Torches Angels for 5 Hits
Next time the Angels might think twice about pitching to Soshu Odaka. Today at Fenway Park the Boston third baseman really burned Anaheim pitching, going 5-for-6 in the Red Sox 11-3 triumph.

"When he's seeing the ball well," his skipper told reporters, "he can probably stroke a base hit blindfolded."

S. Odaka hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off D. Adams in the 5th, singled in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.

So far this season, Odaka has recorded a .344 batting average with 32 hits, 3 home runs, 19 RBIs, 16 runs scored and a .398 OBP.
Thursday, April 18th, 2030: Great Stroke: Willis Gets 5 Hits
Today the Athletics downed the Red Sox 15-5 as Joe Willis sprayed hits all over Network Associates Coliseum in a 5-hit explosion, finishing with 5 hits in 6 at-bats.

The Oakland center fielder said to reporters in the postgame interview, "It makes it easier if you get a good pitch. The odds are in your favor then, not the pitcher's. I got a bunch of very pretty pitches to hit today and I didn't miss any of them."

J. Willis singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.

Wednesday, March 20th, 2030: League KO's Twins-Red Sox Players with 10-Game Suspensions
Wesley Pratt of the Minnesota Twins and Francisco Rodríguez of the Boston Red Sox got into a wrestling match yesterday at Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome and now must pay the consequences for violating league rules. They have both been assessed 10-game suspensions by the league for inciting the heated altercation between the two clubs.
