| | Tuesday, April 9th, 2030: Lawrence 5-5 for Florida During a player's career, there are days that stand out, and this day was definitely special! David Lawrence went 5 for 5 against the Cincinnati Reds at Pro Player Stadium and the Marlins picked up a 7-4 victory.
He exclaimed, "What a day! We win and I get 5 hits! Couldn't be better!" The delighted right fielder was really enjoying the happiness of the moment in the press room.
"He was patient up there today," the Florida skipper told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly agressive. Lawrence has a tendency to go after some bad balls sometimes."
D. Lawrence singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Á. Viera in the 8th.
This year Lawrence is batting .439 with 3 home runs and 9 RBIs. | | Monday, April 8th, 2030: Big Stick Wins NL Trophy There's nothing like being in the prime of your baseball career -- and playing like it. Wilson piled up 12 hits in 25 at-bats, 2 home runs and 5 RBIs while hitting .480.
