The Minnesota Twins will have to make do without Joe Clark for 1-2 weeks. He suffered a damaged meniscus while throwing a pitch in the game today against the Texas Rangers. His teammates, understandably, were upset about losing the closer. "That's a tough break for him," one of them said. "But this team is resilient. We will just fill in until he gets back." Clark will miss 1-2 weeks.
Clark has collected 5 saves for the year with 9 strikeouts and 2 walks in 9 innings while registering a 2.00 ERA and a 0-0 won-lost record.

Wesley Pratt of the Minnesota Twins and Francisco Rodríguez of the Boston Red Sox got into a wrestling match yesterday at Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome and now must pay the consequences for violating league rules. They have both been assessed 10-game suspensions by the league for inciting the heated altercation between the two clubs.

The two main figures in yesterday's brawl at Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome have been suspended for 9 games each. That action was taken today by the league commissioner's office and will take effect immediately. The suspended players are Jing-shuan Juan of the Minnesota Twins and Tom McKinney of the Anaheim Angels.
